Job Description: As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at ELCO Lighting, you will be responsible for optimizing the assembly and manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with the assembly team and other stakeholders to drive process improvements and support the overall production operation.
Key Responsibilities:

Shipping Orders: Assist in making sure orders are assembled and shipped within 24 hours of receipt.

Process Oversight: Supervise and provide guidance to the assembly team to ensure that lighting products are assembled according to quality and safety standards.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains, and lead the implementation of these improvements. This may include equipment upgrades, workflow adjustments, and automation.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control to maintain and improve lighting product quality, including implementing measures to reduce defects and non-conformities.

Cost Reduction: Identify cost-saving opportunities in the manufacturing process, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste.

Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and changes, ensuring compliance with lighting industry regulations and standards.

Training and Development: Provide training and development for assembly team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to assemble lighting products efficiently.

Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to all safety protocols and lighting industry regulations.

Data Analysis: Analyze production data and metrics to make informed decisions and implement data-driven improvements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in a role related to process optimization and supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a
plus.
